How to use Brand Deal Buddy
From installing the browser extension and reviewing creator rates to managing lists and contacting agencies—a practical guide to the entire workflow.
What does the tool do?
Brand Deal Buddy is built for MCNs, agencies, media teams and creators who need a starting point for evaluating sponsorship opportunities using public account information.
- Browser extension: review public creator profiles on X, Threads, YouTube and TikTok, and request a market-specific estimate when supported.
- Website: enter public performance metrics manually in supported markets, read guides, and contact the team.
- Workflow: save creators to a private list, export rate images and explore agency-focused tools where available.
Step 1: Install and pin the extension
Use a desktop browser such as Chrome, Edge or Firefox. Listings and approved versions may vary across stores.
- Search the browser's extension store for “Brand Deal Buddy” or “Brand Deal Buddy”. Check the publisher and listing before installing.
- Open your browser's extensions menu and pin Brand Deal Buddy to the toolbar.
- Review any website-access permissions requested for analyzing public profiles.
- No third-party pricing API key is needed. If a social platform asks you to sign in, follow its own sign-in rules.
Step 2: Analyze a public creator profile
Open the creator's public profile first—not a search page, institutional homepage or login screen.
- Navigate to the creator's profile on X, Threads, YouTube or TikTok.
- Click the toolbar icon; supported browsers may also offer a side panel.
- Review the public followers, recent posts or videos, and engagement figures the extension can obtain. Available metrics differ by platform.
- When too few comparable posts have loaded, scroll through more recent public content and try updating the estimate. Never treat likes as verified video views.
- Organizations, brands and profiles with unclear market-language classification may not qualify for an automatic individual-creator quote.
Step 3: Read the estimate responsibly
An estimated sponsorship range is a negotiation aid, not evidence of what the creator actually earned.
- Check the platform, content language, target market and currency before considering a suggested range.
- Interpret the reference range against audience size, recent views, engagement, content category, deliverable and sample quality.
- If the market model is unsupported or evidence is insufficient, a number may be withheld rather than substituted from a different region.
- Usage rights, exclusivity, production requirements, licensing and taxes must be negotiated separately.
Step 4: Save and follow up
Turn profile research into a reusable outreach workflow.
- Export a rate image for discussion, checking the quote date, currency and scope before sharing.
- Save creators into your private list. Browser-local storage does not imply automatic cloud synchronization.
- Find TA and similar-creator discovery may be in pilot or limited agency rollout; availability varies by platform.
- Team collaboration and advanced access may require separate eligibility or onboarding. Follow the current extension UI.
Other website features
The public website complements the desktop extension.
- Rate calculator: provide public metrics for supported combinations of platform, market and content language.
- Guides and articles: understand rate methodology, worked examples and the available tools.
- Product history: follow releases, language support and model updates.
- Contact and agency inquiries: discuss creator research, campaign recruitment and contributions of real deal data.
What data informs the pricing model?
Actual negotiated sponsorship prices from agencies are a central goal for evidence-based model training and calibration.
- Our target evidence source is real completed sponsorship deal prices supplied by MCNs, talent agencies and advertising partners. Only reviewed, comparable and appropriately de-identified records should be used to train or calibrate a market model.
- The models may also use published pricing guides, public market asking rates and recent public account performance. An advertised rate is not the same as a verified paid deal.
- Coverage differs substantially across languages, countries and platforms. Some markets currently have no sufficiently verified paid-deal records, so it would be inaccurate to say every model has already been trained on agency transactions.
- MCNs with verifiable deal records are welcome to contact us. Eligible partners can discuss a free customized version.
Frequently asked questions
Some features are unavailable until enough public or market evidence exists.
- No rate appears? Check the platform, public profile, recent posts and content language. The market model may not be ready.
- Is the estimate a guaranteed booking price? No. Parties must agree on the deliverables, rights and payment.
- Does switching website language activate that market's model? No. Language availability and independently supported pricing markets are separate.
- Want support or to share deal evidence? Contact the team. Do not submit unauthorized client contracts or private personal data publicly.
